Bind DNA to magnetic beads
DNA attaches to the beads instead of moving through a spin column.

Wash while the magnet holds the beads
Use the magnet to keep the DNA-bound beads in place while unwanted material is removed.

Elute the DNA
Release purified DNA for downstream work such as PCR, qPCR, and sequencing.
